Jerry Springer Hosts “The Price is Right Live” in Branson

JerrySpringerBeginning this month, Jerry Springer will host “The Price is Right Live!” in Branson,  the live version of TV’s longest running game show.

The well-known host of “The Jerry Springer Show”, now in its 22nd season, has had an extensive career including talk-radio broadcaster, game show host, Emmy-award-winning newscaster, movie and Broadway appearances, country recording artist, international emcee and TV personality, and mayor of Cincinnati.

Springer hosted NBC’s “America’s Got Talent for two seasons and has appeared on “Dancing With the Stars”.

Springer is thrilled to be hosting in Branson. “I am honored that ‘The Price is Right Live’ chose me as the special guest host for its stage show,” said Springer. “I have been a huge fan of the classic television game show for years, and have always wanted to yell, ‘Come on down!’ to an excited audience.”

Branson Collector Car Auction

The Branson Collector Car Auction is one of the top ten collector car auctions in the U.S. and is regularly featured in Hemmings Motor News, the bible of car collecting.

More than 250 consignments including sports, muscle, vintage, classic, custom and antique automobiles will be auctioned.

Presented by Jim and Kathy Cox, The Branson Auction is in its 33rd year of bringing some of the best bidders and collectors together. Car enthusiasts also enjoy the event. Last year 5,000-6,000 people participated by traveling to Branson from many parts of the nation, according to Cox.

“We love the people. We enjoy the stories, reliving memories and helping people find their dream car,” said Cox.

The public is invited. Potential bidders are encouraged to register in advance. Auction starts at noon on Friday and 10:00 am on Saturday. General admission $10/day or $15 for 2-day pass.

1st Annual Titanic Authors’ Week

Visit the Branson Titanic Museum for the First Annual Titanic Authors’ Week March 18-24, 2013.

Hundreds of books have been written about the renowned ship Titanic. Now several authors who have written historical books and novels about the legendary ship will gather in Branson for the Titanic Museum Attraction’s First Annual Book Signing Fair.

The event begins Monday, March 18 and continues through Sunday, March 24, from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm. Each author will have an area INSIDE the museum where visitors can meet and talk with the authors. Visitors who purchase a book at the Fair will receive a future complimentary visit to the Titanic Museum Attraction. (Please note: ONE COMP Ticket PER Person PER Purchase so if you purchase five books, you still only receive ONE comp ticket. Comp tickets are valid until February 28, 2014.)

Authors participating in the event include Wade Sisson, author of Racing Through the Night, Ken Rossignol, author of Titanic 1912 – The Original News Stories, Helen Behr Sanford, author of  Starboard at Midnight – The Love Story of Two Survivors, Bruce M.
